Last Tango in Paris

Last Tango in Paris

Last Tango in Paris is a 1972 Italian erotic film by director Bernardo Bertolucci. The protagonists, Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider, are casually looking for rented flats and have a passionate adventure that they promise to keep secret… From the best erotic films.

My opinion on Last Tango in Paris

Last Tango in Paris is already a cinema classic. A beautiful young woman meets a mature man while looking for a flat to rent, she lets herself be seduced and they make love fiercely in an empty flat. As in good erotic films you don’t see much meat, but you insinuate a lot and end up getting excited by the age difference and the passion they both unleash. It also has a great scene with the butter that personally made me want to try…

The critique of Last Tango in Paris

Marlon Brando plays a great role, at the height of the eternal Godfather, without following the script of Bertolucci. The great director allows his star to improvise and he is totally right. But the film also tells three stories that melt together to create this wonder: Bradon’s sunken and deranged by the death of his wife, the young woman in love with a bad film actor and the passion that is born between them, breaking conventions. It also has an insurmountable technical aspect for the time, with a perfect montage, a sensual soundtrack and a title according to the end. Defects? Perhaps it can be overrated, history lax, pretentious dialogues and scenes past date. It was censored in Spain and maybe that’s why people wanted to see it more.

El último tango en París

Conclusion

Maybe Marlon Brando thinks he owns the film… and Bertolucci lets him. That the movie star is in his last years… and yet it looks very good. He may not convey to many the grief of the loss of his wife… but to others he does. Maybe Maria Schneider makes the only good movie of her life… and what a movie.

Many people are not convinced by the performance of this young actress… and others think she is in her twenties with the revolutionary hormones. And so I could continue to say criticisms and compliments. It all depends on the eyes that see her. What do you think? I invite you to do your critique below. Don’t cut yourself!
